    Why PEAT?

Planning for emergencies that have the potential to be widespread and of a disastrous nature requires planning and preparation of our most critical resource -- our employees.

As part of the campus efforts in preparing for emergencies (in particular an Avian Flu Pandemic), the Offices of the Chancellor and Provost have established an OCP Pandemic Planning Workgroup. This workgroup has begun developing (in concert with the campus) a plan for managing business operations during such catastrophic emergencies. A subcommittee, PEAT, has been charged with bringing personal awareness to staff in the Offices of the Chancellor and Provost.

PEAT's mission is to encourage the personal awareness and preparedness of OCP staff members in the event of a catastrophic emergency.
